Luna Rossa extends lead

Italy’s Luna Rossa produced yet another flawless run to down Artemis Racing on Wednesday, opening up a comfortable 2-0 lead in the semi-finals of their best of seven series at San Francisco Bay.

Max Sirena’s men dominated their Swedish rivals from the outset and eventually crossed the finish line with a convincing two minute advantage to make it back-to-back wins in the penultimate stage of the Louis Vuitton Cup, which will determine who faces Emirates Team New Zealand in the final.

The winner of that series will then take on reigning champion Oracle Team USA in the 34th edition of the America’s Cup which gets underway in September.
