Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has been depicted as a bumbling Nazi character on Australia’s Daily Telegraph, owned by media tycoon Rupert Murdoch.
Rudd’s election campaign includes a promise to roll out high-speed internet to every home through the Labor party-owned National Broadband Network, in direct competition with Foxtel, a company part-owned by Murdoch.
The Australian premier has accused Murdoch of political interference to protect his commercial interests.
