Italy to the rescue in the wake of Malta-migrants row

Italy has agreed to accept 102 illegal migrants refused entry into Malta.

The migrants are due to arrive in Sicily, after spending three days stranded on a tanker.

Malta, which receives the highest number of asylum applications relative to population, resisted calls by the EU to accept the group, who are mainly from North Africa.
