More than 500 migrants rescued trying to reach Italy's coast

The Italian coastguard has rescued more than 500 migrants trying to reach Europe over the weekend.

Thirty people are still believed to be missing at sea.

Most are from sub-Saharan Africa, coming in boats from the Libyan coast

Those rescued have been taken to reception centres on Sicily or the island of Lampedusa.
