For the first time in 130 years, Mont St Michel in Northern France has became an island.
The tide rose above the thin strip of land connecting it to the mainland, something which has not happened since 1879.
Several hundred visitors gathered to watch the phenomenon which lasted about 20 minutes before the waters receded.
