After weeks of speculation, Spanish giants Barcelona have made Gerardo Martino their new coach.
The 50 year old, who led the Newell’s Old Boys to the Argentine Clausura title last season, has signed a three-year deal at the Camp Nou, following Tito Vilanova’s decision to resign as he continues his battle with cancer.
Martino previously coached Paraguay for four years, steering Justo Villar’s team-mates to the 2010 World Cup quarter-finals and the 2011 Copa America final.
