A 360-degree virtual tour of the Eiffel Tower in Paris is now available from Google’s Street View.

Web visitors can take a tour as well as watch online exhibitions about the Tower.

There are over 50 archival images, plans, engravings and photos to be seen, put on online by the Google Cultural Institute in cooperation with the Eiffel Tower Operating Company.

They include a recording of Gustave Eiffel’s voice made by Thomas Edison.

Earlier this year, Google introduced Street View imagery for the world’s largest building, the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Street View has been expanding over the last few months into a number of new locations ranging from the Great Barrier Reef to the Grand Canyon.
