It appears Pep Guardiola has gone back on his word not to take players from Barcelona with him to his new club Bayern Munich.
The Bavarian giants who last season won an unprecedented treble have agreed to buy the Catalan’s Under-21 Spain international midfielder Thiago Alcantara for a fee of 25 million euros.
Alcantara was a transfer target for English Premeir League champions Manchester United among several other top European clubs this summer, but he will now join up again with his former Barca coach and the European Champions.
According to Bayern the 22-year-old will have a medical in the next few
days before signing a four-year contract.
The deal also includes a friendly between the two clubs sometime in the next four years.
