Standard and Poor's downgrades shaky Italy

Ratings agency Standard and Poor’s has cut Italy’s sovereign credit rating to BBB from BBB+ based on the country’s crumbling economy. Prime Minister Enrico Letta’s shaky coalition is also blamed for slowing down reforms which have hampered efforts to keep public finances under control.
