Relatives of 777 crash victims confront Asiana president

Another apology from Asiana airlines appeared to provide little solace for the families of the passengers killed and wounded in last weekend’s Boeing 777 crash in San Francisco.

A group of relatives is on their way to San Francisco from Jiangshan City in China. 141 of the passengers were Chinese, among them a large group of students from Jiangshan.

The uncle of Ye Mengyuan, one of two Chinese teenagers who died, angrily confronted Asiana President Yoon Young-doo at Shanghai airport, saying:

“You’re offering us such a complicated route, with three transfers, to get there. You have no sincerity!”

More than 180 people were injured in the crash – at least 30 are in critical condition.
