A new wave of hundreds of immigrants has arrived in Lampedusa, off Sicily.
340 people arrived on Wednesday, a day after Pope Francis visited the island.
Lampedusa, which is closer to Africa than Italy’s mainland, has become one of the main ports of entry to Europe for migrants and refugees from North Africa.
