Australia’s Mark Webber will leave champions Red Bull and Formula One at the end of the season after signing a deal with Porsche to race at Le Mans.
The Australian started strong last year with victories at Monaco and Silverstone but has struggled this season, failing to win a grand prix and currently lying fifth in the overall standings, 63 points behind teammate Sebastian Vettel.
Webber has had several falling-outs with the reigning champion, most recently in March this year when the 25-year-old German ignored team orders and passed him to clinch the Malaysian Grand Prix.
Lotus driver Kimi Raikkonen, the 2007 world champion with Ferrari, has been strongly tipped to replace him.
