At least 16 people have been killed and another 33 injured after a passenger bus fell into a deep river gorge in central Montenegro.
Police say the bus swerved off a bridge some 30 Km north of the capital Podgorica and plunged 40m into the ravine.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, attempting to reach the dead an injured.
Officials confirmed that the bus had about 50 people on board, most of whom are thought to have been Romanian.
An investigation has been launched into the accident which apparently happened during a rain storm.
