A 69-year-old man who placed a bomb in a waste bin outside a school in southern Italy last year, killing a teenage girl and wounding nine other children, has been given a life sentence by a court in Brindisi.
Giovanni Vantaggiato gave no motive for the attack, which shocked the country and put security services on high alert.
