Socchi 2014: Celebration Cauldron

On Wednesday, the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee presented the Celebration Cauldron for the Olympic Torch Relay, which gets under way on 7 October in Moscow.

The Celebration Cauldron will be produced and installed in each city hosting the end of day celebrations during the 65,000km Relay, which will be the longest in the history of the Olympic Winter Games.

The Cauldron, which was developed by a team of famous Russian designers and engineers, will travel through all 83 Russian regions, visiting 2,900 towns and passing through the hands of some 14,000 torchbearers.
