Level 39 is Europe’s largest accelerator space at the heart of London’s Canary Wharf. It’s built to become a hub for some of the world’s smartest start-ups and thus investors. Based in the capital’s banking centre, Level 39 is the best location to fuse technology and finance sectors.
Its CEO Eric Van Der Kleij, who until recently ran the Tech City initiative, has a passion for start-ups. One reason is the way they can generate employment in these hard economic times. Since growth is the only way forward for start-ups, they can create jobs more easily than bigger companies.
He spoke exclusively to euronews during LeWeb London, slamming those who jump on a “nationalist bandwagon” against immigration and those who want to impose barriers on the flow of talent and trade.
