Parachutists jump over Normandy to mark D-Day 69th anniversary

Dozens of amateur parachutists jumped over northern France, watched by veterans of the Normandy landings on the 69th anniversary.

American, British, French, Belgian and Dutch parachutists took part in the commemoration above Utah beach, one of several key landing points during the D-Day operation.

160,000 Allied soldiers, mostly from the US, Britain and Canada, took part in what proved to be a turning point of World War Two.
