The hi-tech giant Apple has lost a battle in its long running war with Samsung electronics.
A US trade panel has banned its older but still-popular Apple products from the US market after ruling that they had infringed on a Samsung patent.
The decision involves older models of the iPad and iPhone which have the ability to transmit multiple services simultaneously through 3G wireless technology.
Apple says it will appeal the decision.
The case is the latest in numerous law suits between the two electronics giants who are locked in legal battles in 10 countries.
Samsung is the world’s largest maker of smartphones, outselling Apple by nearly two to one. However Apple’s smartphone business is more profitable.
