Bundesliga and Champions League winners Bayern Munich completed the treble by defeating Stuttgart 3-2 in the German Cup final in Berlin on Saturday.
German international Thomas Muller dispatched a penalty to put the Bavarians ahead after 37 minutes before a Mario Gomez double looked to have put the game beyond their opponents.
Despite a late push from Stuttgart and Martin Harnick’s nine-minute second-half double, it wasn’t to be as Arjen Robben’s team-mates eventually held on to give departing coach Jupp Heynckes the best possible send-off.
