Italian students mark anniversary of anti-mafia magistrate killing

Thousands of Italian students have sailed to Palermo on so-called “ships of lawfulness” to mark the 21st anniversary of the killing of an anti-mafia magistrate.

Giovanni Falcone, his wife and three bodyguards were killed when their car was blown up on a road near Capaci in Sicily.

Two months later, colleague Paolo Borsellino was killed in another bomb attack in Palermo.
