'Welcome to Hell': Inside the Shatila refugee camp
Euronews visited the Shatila refugee camp in Beirut, Lebanon. The camp, made up of slum-like apartment blocks, is home to some 16,000 refugees; most of them are Palestinians whose families and their ancestors fled their homes after the creation of Israel in 1948. Packed into just one square kilometre, the sheer number of people means there is an overwhelming strain on what few public services there are.
