Greece’s prime minister is in China seeking investment and trade deals to help revive his country’s recession-battered economy.
Antonis Samaras and the Chinese premier Li Keqiang signed trade agreements covering areas including shipping and telecommunications.
They also discussed the possibility of China investing in Greece’s railways and Athens’ airport, as well as greater involvement by Chinese shipping group Cosco at the port of Piraeus
Greece is seeking more foreign buyers for the state assets it is selling as demanded under its bailout deal.
