Eight killed in Dhaka garment factory fire

A fire has ripped through a garment factory in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, killing at least eight people.

The blaze, which happened overnight in the Mirpur area, came two weeks after a factory collapsed outside the city – leaving hundreds dead.

According to police, the fire broke out in a building owned by the Tung Hai Group, a large garment exporter. Most of the workers had apparently gone home.
