New party seeks to pull Germany out of the euro

Germany has a new political party, the Alternative for Germany, an anti-euro party whose main objective is to take the country out of the single currency. Bernd Lucke, a former Christian Democrat, has been elected leader. In five months time they could steal votes from Angela Merkel in the General Election, and surf on many people’s disaffection with the EU.
