The voters of Switzerland have spoken out against multi-million franc executive pay. The Swiss people are happy, but the country’s business establishment isn’t.

Spaniards have a different problem. The total of people there registered as unemployed has gone over five million for the first time, according to Labour Ministry figures. But in fact, it is even worse as the total number without a job is actually six million.

Job creation is one of China’s priorities for the future. The country wants to change its economic model to make it more consumer-driven after a decade of booming exports.
