A 36-year-old Bulgarian man has died after setting fire to himself allegedly in protest over poverty and corruption. Plamen Goranov had been on life support for 12 days after suffering severe burns. Thousands of people have taken to the streets since to demonstrate against high energy prices, demonstrations that have forced the prime minister to step down.
