With a blue blanket covering his head, athlete Oscar Pistorius arrived at a Pretoria court for the second day of his bail hearing on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old charged with the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home last week in a case that has shocked South Africa, where he is an Olympic hero.
Prosecutors were due to make the case that Pistorius is dangerous and should not be released.
His full trial is not expected to begin for months.
The funeral for Steenkamp, a law graduate and model was held on Tuesday in front of around 100 relatives and close friends.
The private ceremony in her hometown of Port Elizabeth saw many tributes but also renewed anger towards Pistorious.
