Estonia: angling for the big one
About 8,000 ice anglers braved the cold in the hope of catching the biggest fish and taking home the 50,000 euro prize. The ice-covered Viljandi Lake in southern Estonia was the venue for the biggest event of its kind in the Baltics and the second largest fishing event in the world. Participants came from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania as well as Scandinavia.
