Venezuela’s Vice President Nicolas Maduro would comfortably win a presidential election, according to a new poll.
But only if his boss Hugo Chavez steps aside because of his cancer. The first survey on such a scenario give Maduro 50 percent of votes, but if the incumbent remains in the race his popularity seems assured.
His Tweet following his return to the country from treatment in Cuba saw him achieve another milestone – four million followers.
Although no details were given on his health and there were no images of his arrival, the news sparked widespread celebrations across the country.
