Signs of a thaw in relations at last between Russia and Georgia with the agreement today that wine and mineral water exports to Russia can resume.

It would end a seven-year embargo on two of the tiny republic’s most popular foreign exchange earners, and represents a significant gain for the new President Bidzina Ivanishvili.
