A former Austrian interior minister has been sentenced to four years in jail for corruption. Ernst Strasser, who was also a Euro MP, was charged following a sting operation by journalists pretending to be lobbyists. A court in Vienna heard that the 56-year-old was offered money to try to water down proposed EU legislation.
