Eight miners have been killed following a suspected methane gas explosion in northern Turkey.
Rescue workers say all the bodies have now been recovered.
One miner was brought to the surface alive
Details as to what caused the methane build up at the mine in the Black Sea province of Zonguldak are yet to emerge.
Explosions and cave-ins are not uncommon in Turkey’s mines, particularly in privately run operations where safety regulations are often ignored.
In the same Zonguldak province in 1992, 263 mineworkers died in a similar explosion.
