Jacobsen wins Four Hills at Oberstdorf

Norway’s Anders Jacobsen kept his composure to clinch the 61st Four Hills ski jumping tournament at Oberstdorf on Sunday.

The 27 year old, who’d already won this event in 2007, soared 138 and 139 metres for a winning total of 308.6 points.

Defending champion Gregor Schlierenzauer, who produced the highest score in the qualifying tournament with 149.6 points, looked in great shape but eventually had to settle for second place with a total of 297 points while Germany’s Severin Freund took a surprise third place with 290.8 points.

The world’s top ski jumpers will next lock horns in Garmisch-Partenkirchen on January 1.
