Authorities in Spain have smashed a drug-smuggling network based out of the central province of Toledo.
More than 11 tonnes of hashish has been confiscated and 35 people have been arrested.
The traffickers smuggled the hashish from Morocco using trucks with hidden compartments. Most of the drugs were stored in Toledo warehouses.
Officers also seized more than 100,000 euros in cash, 14 cars and dozens of mobile phones.
“The dismantled organisation controlled the entire chain of trafficking, from production to packing, as well as transport to Spain, storage, and distribution throughout Europe especially in France, Belgium, England and the Netherlands,” the police said in a statement.
