Iran hit by 5.5 magnitude quake

An earthquake has reportedly killed five and injured at least 10 in Iran after a 5.5 magnitude tremor struck the east of the country.

The number of casualties is expected to rise with emergency teams reporting people trapped under rubble in Zahan district.

Iran has suffered several major quakes. In 2003, the southeastern city of Bam was flattened and more than 25,000 people killed.
