Romney and Obama do lunch

Three weeks after his electoral defeat, Mitt Romney has finally made it to the White House.

The vanquished Republican challenger met President Barack Obama on Thursday, with the two former foes reportedly sitting down for a private lunch.

It remains unclear whether the low key visit, which lasted about 90 minutes, was simply a goodwill gesture to heal divisions caused by a bitter election campaign or something more substantial aimed at working together.
