South Korea commemorates 2nd anniversary of Yeonpyeong attack
South Korea remembered on Friday those killed in North Korea’s shelling on Yeonpyeong Island in november 2010.
“The Yeonpyeong Island shelling was the worst provocation by North Korea since the armistice in 1953,” said Prime Minister Kim Hwang-sik during his speech at the ceremony, a front of 4 000 people.
The 23th november 2010 North Korea’s shelling killed two soldiers and two civilians.
The two sides are technically still at war, having signed only a truce rather than a peace treaty.
