With just over a year to go before Brazil host the 2014 World Cup, the Brazilian Football Confederation have sacked national team coach Mano Menezes.
The 50 year old, who replaced Dunga in 2010, was heavily criticised earlier this year for failing to lead
la Seleção to their first gold medal at this year’s London Olympics and for their disappointing performance in the Copa America.
Former Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari is the current favourite to replace Menezes with Corinthians coach Tite also in contention.
