Israel renewed air strikes in the Gaza Strip early on Thursday morning, killing three Palestinian militants, according to reports.
The fresh attacks follow yesterday’s assassination of Ahmad Jaabari, the head of the military wing of Hamas.
Meanwhile a rocket fired from Gaza struck an apartment building in southern Israel, killing three people.
Since yesterday, fourteen people have been killed and 100 wounded.
Israeli says it has launched more than 80 rockets as waves of missiles continue to be fired from Gaza.
Jaabari was killed together with another Hamas official when his car was hit by an Israeli strike.
Israeli officials says the 46-year-old was responsible for all terrorist activity over the past decade eminating from the Gaza Strip and targeting the Jewish state.
