New Jersey family reunited after Sandy havoc

At least 33 people are now known to have died after Storm Sandy ravaged the eastern coast of the US.

In Toms River, New Jersey, rescue volunteers succeeded in reuniting three children, who had been separated from their parents.

Joshua and Laetitia Edmund had not heard from their kids in over 24 hours.

They had been trapped at their grandmother’s house just down the street.

It seems they had not followed the official advice from state authorities to evacuate.

The Edmunds are later reunited and despite the damage to their property, it is a moment to celebrate.
