Exit polls published immediately after polling stations closed in Ukraine’s parliamentary election predict the ruling party of President Viktor Yanukovich, the Party of Regions, will be the overall winner on 28.1%.
The centrist Fatherland, of the jailed former prime minister Julia Tymoshenko, were second with 24.7% according to the survey.
The centre-right UDAR led by the boxing champion Vitaly Klitschko are forecast to be third with 15.1% of the vote.
There are 450 seats in the parliament. Half of them are elected from political lists, the other half by first-past-the-post elections.
