Romney: Obama’s all style, no substance

The Republican US presidential candidate Mitt Romney was pressing the flesh in the swing state of Florida in the run up to Monday’s third and final TV debate.

With his running mate Paul Ryan alongside, Romney said President Obama had resorted to petty attacks and silly word games.

“Have you been watching the Obama campaign lately? It’s absolutely remarkable they have no agenda for the future, no agenda for America, no agenda for a second term. Its a good thing. They won’t have a second term,” Romney told supporters at Daytona Beach.

Romney accused the Obama campaign of focusing on ever smaller issues and he told the crowd that the president is trying to make the US more like Europe.

The Republican surged in the polls after his performance in the first televised debate, but the latest surveys still have Obama ahead, especially in many crucial swing states.
