Second sinking for America's Cup holders Oracle

Going down again. US boat Oracle the current holder of the America’s Cup, has suffered a second expensive sinking.

The racer went down in San Francisco Bay during a training session, none of the crew were injured.

The repair bill runs to a cool 10 million US dollars.

Each team involved in the America’s Cup is allowed two race vessels, this was the first to launched by the US team.

Captain Jimmy Spithill said the accident was a setback, but the team will be ready to defend the greatest prize in sailing as planned.
