France claim draw at the death in Madrid-Sweden come from four nil down to draw in Berlin.

In the world cup qualifiers France grabbed a last gasp point in Madrid. The world champions took the lead thanks to Sergio Ramos and held it until the 94th minute when Arsenal’s Giroud netted.

In the groups other match Belarus beat Georgia 2-0

Italy saw off the challenge of Denmark with a 3-1 win with two goals from De Rossi and one from Man City’s Mario Balotelli in Milan.

The Czech Republic and Bulgaria drew nil nil

Group C

Germany and Sweden drew 4-4 in a thrilling game in Berlin the home side were 4 nil up before Sweden staged an astonishing comeback to claim a remarkable point.

Ireland beat the Faroe Islands 4-1

Austria thrashed Kazakhstan
4 nil.

Group D

Romania were well beaten by The Netherlands 4-1, Goals from Lens, Indi, van der Vaart and van Persie gave the Dutch the win.

Turkey went to Budapest and lost 3-1 to Hungry.
