Ireland beat the Faroe Islands 4-1

Austria thrashed Kazakhstan
4 nil.

Group D

Romania were well beaten by The Netherlands 4-1, Goals from Lens, Indi, van der Vaart and van Persie gave the Dutch the win.

Turkey went to Budapest and lost 3-1 to Hungry.
