The Chinese electronics giant Lenovo became the world’s biggest manufacturer of PCs in the third quarter knocking the American Hewlett Packard off the top spot according to one market research report.
Gartner put Lenovo’s market share at 15.7 percent with an estimated 13.77 million computers.
Hewlett Packard were given 15.5 percent of the market in the research, although another research company, IDC, kept HP as top dog.
Both reports showed that worldwide computer shipments fell by more than eight percent in the quarter.
