Airbus has clearly lost the competition to sell the most planes so far this year; it has sold less than half as many as Boeing.
The American rival sold 879 planes over the first nine months of the year compared to Airbus’s 382, and it also delivered more planes, 436, to Europe’s 405.
It is a turnaround after lagging on deliveries for nine straight years, and last year, when Boeing sank to its lowest market share in 40 years.
