There have been clashes between Greek police and shipyard workers who say they have not been paid for six months.
The violence erupted as the protesters stormed the Defence Ministry complex. The head of the army’s general staff, General Mihail Kostarakos, came out to address the demonstrators but was booed and heckled.
The workers allege that they have not received their salaries because the near-bankrupt Greek state has not paid the shipyard’s owner, Abu Dhabi Mar. The company was not immediately
