The French Interior Minister has issued a stark warning to Islamic extremists and radicals as he attended the inauguration of the biggest mosque in the country – the new Great Mosque in Strasbourg.

Manuel Valls insisted Islam has a place in France which is home to some five million Muslims. But he said he “would not hesitate” expelling anyone threatening national security in the name of Islam.
