Ecuador’s ambassador will meet UK foreign minister William Hague on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly to talk about Julian Assange.
The Wikileaks founder has been in Ecuador’s London embassy since June. He is fighting extradition to Sweden over charges of sexual assault, which he denies, and fears further extradition to the US.
This Thursday marks exactly one hundred days since the 40-year-old walked into the embassy in London’s Knightsbridge.
The Wikileaks website has published leaked sensitive diplomatic cables involving various countries, including the US.
